Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee and coordinate maintenance and repair activities within our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising mechanical operations, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining efficient workflow across projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader with strong management skills and technical expertise in mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have prior supervising experience and familiarity with Primavera P6 to facilitate project planning and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily mechanical maintenance and repair activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan work schedules and resource allocation.
- Monitor progress of mechanical projects, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
- Utilise Primavera P6 for project scheduling, tracking progress, and reporting on project milestones.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analysing operational processes and implementing enhancements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising mechanical teams within industrial or construction environments.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar project management software is essential.
- Demonstrable knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are preferred.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Pay: £200.00-£220.00 per day
