We are currently looking for Accounts Administrator to work in our fast-paced office.
The role is for 25 hours per week with core hours being between 9am and 2pm, but this can be negotiable for the right candidate.
Immediate start available (subject to interview process).
Hourly rate is dependent on skills and experience.
Duties
- Processing purchase and sales invoices.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciling bank accounts and supplier statements.
- Preparing and processing payment runs.
- Credit control and dealing with customer account queries.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Processing employee expenses.
- Supporting month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Completing Vat returns
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Liaising with Accountants regarding Corporation Tax and set up payments
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding finance-related matters.
- Assisting with general office administration as required.
Role requirements
- Previous experience in an accounts administration or bookkeeping role.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience using Sage
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Drive and enthusiasm to establish good working relationships within a small team
- Able to work using own initiative and keen to succeed.
- A flexible approach to working hours matching company demands
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Desirable
- Experience working within an SME environment.
- Payroll experience (advantageous but not essential).
