Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and eager Trainee Door Fitter / Door Fitter's Mate to join our dynamic installation team. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in door installation, fabrication, and related aspects of the industry within a fast-paced environment. As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining valuable knowledge and practical experience in various aspects of the commercial roller shutter door industry sector.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior door fitters with the installation and maintenance of industrial roller doors.
- Support in site preparation and setting out, as well as components and parts preparation.
- Assist with fabrication and workshop preparation prior to installation.
- Work in line with site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction methods and systems of work are advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, saws) is preferred.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to stand, lift materials, and work at heights when necessary.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills on-site.
- Basic knowledge of welding or electrical experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
