Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Building Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of a commercial or residential building. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all building operations, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and safety protocols
- Manage maintenance schedules and oversee repairs using technical knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical components
- Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate building systems
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, HVAC systems, and other mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Lead project management efforts for upgrades or renovations within the building infrastructure
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, providing leadership and ensuring high standards of work quality
- Conduct regular inspections of the building’s mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to identify issues early
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes; maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Respond promptly to emergency situations or system failures to minimize disruption
Experience
- Proven management experience in building operations or facilities management with a focus on supervision and leadership roles
- Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multiple repair or upgrade projects simultaneously
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, plumbing, elevators, or other building infrastructure
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical issues and understanding schematics for wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated building systems
- Supervising experience with teams of technicians or maintenance staff
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination
- Prior experience in maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance within a commercial or residential setting
