We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team in the role of Product Analyst – Luxembourg Platforms
HSBC Asset Management Product Group is responsible for defining Product direction and evolution to enable business development across all key asset classes. This includes ideation, design, profitability, development, strategy & management of existing and future Product across all global markets.
Reporting to the Head of Luxembourg Platforms, this role will have responsibility for product platforms domiciled in Luxembourg. This role is required to ensure optimisation of structures for investors, clients and the business and to meet all Product defined responsibilities for meeting regulation and regulatory requirements associated with said platforms and their distribution.
Consistency across HSBC Asset Management fund ranges, where appropriate is essential. Excellent collaboration with the equivalent role for Ireland is essential together with UK & Asia. Asia is one of HSBC AM's strategic regions for growth and enablement of optimal Product structures & Platform requirements requires due consideration to the investor, distribution and regulatory requirements of Asia together with ongoing management of the range to meet these requirements as well of those associated with relevant European regulations.

In this role you’ll:

Assisting the Head of Luxembourg Platforms to ensure that the strategic direction of the platforms are defined and followed, whilst identifying opportunities for strategic development and rationalization of the range.

Responding to regulatory, industry and tax related changes which impact the umbrellas.

Working with external counsel to implement changes in a timely and efficient manner, which achieve the best customer outcomes

Coordinating changes and enhancements internally, working with key stakeholders, with strong communication at all times
-
Ensuring fund documentation across product sets at fund and umbrella level is maintained & updated as required

Adhering to HSBC Asset Management governance and approvals process for any changes to Platforms

Drafting papers for governance forums and presenting initiatives for approval

Supporting on range management e.g. fee, share class & sustainability reviews

Providing presentation materials for senior stakeholder meetings

Reviewing products with internal stakeholder teams and enabling sign off processes to be completed

Leading other product related projects, as and when required, which may involve other platforms outside of Luxembourg
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Exposure to investment management is advantageous with some knowledge of investment strategies/techniques, key asset classes, and asset management products.

Experience within a product-related role or an interest in how products are structured, governed, and maintained.

Helpful working knowledge of fund regulation, including UCITS, AIFMD II (AIFMD2), SFDR, and MiFID is beneficial

A curious, proactive mindset, with strong attention to detail.

Collaborative and adaptable, able to work smoothly across different teams and priorities.

Confidence in engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels, with experience delivering against obligations and deadlines.

Project coordination experience, ideally across complex, cross-functional activity with multiple dependencies.

Strong written and verbal communication, including drafting clear wording and presenting business cases to decision-makers.

Analytical skills with a finance/business/economics base, able to think through downstream impacts across documentation and operating model.

Good MS Office capability, especially for producing clear, well-structured materials.
