We are seeking a dedicated White Goods Delivery Driver and Installer to join our team. This role involves transporting large household appliances safely to customers’ premises and ensuring their proper installation. The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The position offers an opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in appliance installation, equipment repair, and maintenance within a dynamic environment. A valid driving licence and experience in construction or air conditioning are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport white goods such as refrigerators, washing machines, and ovens to customer locations.
- Unload appliances with care, ensuring minimal risk of damage during transit and installation.
- Install appliances according to manufacturer specifications and schematics, ensuring proper connection to electrical and plumbing systems where applicable.
- Conduct basic equipment repairs or adjustments as needed during installation or post-delivery checks.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to appliance operation, utilising your mechanical knowledge and understanding of schematics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, installations, and any repairs carried out.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to during transportation and installation processes.
- Assist with maintenance tasks on delivery equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining appliance features and operation clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance installation, equipment repair, or related technical fields such as construction or air conditioning maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
- Leadership qualities with the capacity to manage tasks independently while working within a team environment.
- Experience in equipment repair and general maintenance is desirable.
- Valid driving licence with a clean record; experience driving large vehicles such as lorries preferred.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy appliances safely and comfortably; physical fitness is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members professionally.

Working Pattern:
- Alternating weeks: 5 days one week (Monday–Friday), 6 days the next week (Monday–Saturday)

You may notice the pay range is from £32000 to £38000, the starting salary is for a delivery driver who can install freestanding appliances. We then step up the pay depending on the skills you have, if you can install Built in Appliances and complete intermediate plumbing / electrical works you move up to £34,000, if you then progress and can repair / diagnose faults and service domestic appliances as well you move up to £38,000. As a business, we offer internal and external training to progress your skills to the higher levels if you impress and work hard in your current role.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in delivery and installation of domestic appliances (essential)
- Experience with integrated / built-in appliances and fitting them behind kitchen doors (highly desirable)
- Basic carpentry and door-fitting skills (essential for integrated installations)
- Good practical knowledge of ovens, hobs, hoods, washing machines, fridge freezers, dishwashers, and similar appliances
- Ability to work with electrical and plumbing connections
- A full clean UK driving licence (category B) – comfortable driving a large van
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting
- Excellent customer service skills and a polite, professional manner
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Basic IT skills (for job sheets and basic admin)
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
