Overview
Join our small hospitality team as a Housekeeping Supervisor, where your leadership and attention to detail will elevate guest experiences and uphold our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, motivate your team, and ensure that every guest room and public area reflects excellence. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will drive a positive environment, fostering teamwork and delivering exceptional service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your supervisory skills within a small 10 Bedroomed privately owned hotel setting.The role is working five days out of seven, with occasional weekend hours (One weekend a month), and estimated starting time each day would be 8:45am - 2:45pm, although a certain amount of flexibility is required
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the small team to ensure timely, thorough cleaning of guest rooms, and public spaces.
- Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and check standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
- Take control of both in house and linen hire,ensuring suffient stocks and recording usage
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Communicate effectively with front desk staff and management to address guest requests or special needs promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, cleaning schedules, and inventory levels for supplies and equipment.
Requirement
- Strong command of English for clear communication with team members and guests.
- Proven experience in housekeeping or hospitality environments is preferred; previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to motivate staff, resolve issues, and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties throughout shifts.
- A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
