About Us:
We are a cosy bar in Littledean launching an exciting new small-plates menu focusing on trendy Modern Indian Tapas. We operate out of a large, fantastic kitchen space and pride ourselves on a friendly, relaxed team environment. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Assistant to join us for our evening shifts.
The Role:
This is a dual role perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to gain experience in a professional kitchen. You will work directly alongside our Head Chef during the evening service rush. Your time will be split between helping to plate up food, frying/steaming side dishes, and managing the kitchen wash station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef with basic food assembly
- Operate the commercial dishwasher and wash up pots, pans, and tableware by hand when required.
- Ensure the kitchen wash station stays organised, clean, and safe throughout the night.
- Help restock clean plates, cutlery, and glassware back to the service line and bar.
- Assist with the end-of-night kitchen deep clean (mopping floors, wiping down counters, and emptying bins).
What We Are Looking For:
- A reliable, punctual team player with a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or a washing-up role is a bonus, but full training will be provided!
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy weekend rushes.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck into both food prep and cleaning duties.
- Must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
