Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods, equipment, or passengers safely and efficiently to various locations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, lorries, or cars, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries or pickups.
- Load and unload goods or equipment with care, ensuring items are secure during transit.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist with paperwork related to deliveries or passenger records as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Follow company policies regarding driving hours and rest periods to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Category B for cars, Category C for lorries).
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial or organisational setting.
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in all weather conditions.
- Physical fitness to load/unload items and perform necessary vehicle checks.
- A clean driving record with no recent penalties or endorsements is preferred.
Pay: £12.71-£22.54 per hour
