Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Bartender/Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and adhere to licensing laws
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient and seamless service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, particularly within a restaurant or bar environment, is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible serving practices
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- A personable attitude with a genuine interest in providing outstanding customer service
