About Us
Timpson Engineering Ltd is a growing, family-run precision engineering company manufacturing high-quality CNC machined components for demanding industries. We are AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified and pride ourselves on producing quality work in a clean, modern workshop.
The Role
We're looking for a reliable and motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our team.
The role involves operating a dedicated group of Siemens-controlled CNC lathes, ensuring components are produced efficiently, consistently and to the highest quality standards. You'll be responsible for keeping the machines running, carrying out routine checks and inspections, and ensuring production schedules are met.
This is a long-term opportunity where you'll become the key person responsible for this area of our workshop. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys taking ownership and wants to play an important role in a growing business.
Experience operating CNC machines is an advantage, but it isn't essential. If you have the right attitude, are practical, reliable and willing to learn, we'll provide the training you need.

- Load and unload components safely and efficiently.
- Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments as required.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
- Good attention to detail.
- Practical and mechanically minded.
- Able to work independently and take responsibility.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Experience operating CNC machines or other manufacturing equipment.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience with Siemens controls.

- Overtime opportunities.
- Modern, well-equipped workshop.
- Long-term career stability in a growing company.
- Opportunities for increased responsibility and salary progression as you develop within the role.

If you're looking for a role where you can develop your skills, take ownership of your work and become an important part of a growing engineering business, we'd love to hear from you.
