Job Title: Driver and Stores Operative
Reports to: Lead Stores Operative
Overall Purpose of the job
1. Pick and pack products per requirements, check stock and complete stock intake
2. Deliver products to customers
3. Support Manufacturing with soft cut gaskets, isolation kits and test gasket when needed
4. Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives in support of company objectives
General
· Pick and pack customer orders, complete incoming inspections, booking in and stock put away
· Assist with stock control and stock taking
· Complete daily customer deliveries using company van
· Support Operations with manufacturing and facilities duties
· Work with colleagues at all times in such a way as to deliver the best possible results for Alba
· Behave at all times in line with Alba values
Function Specific
· Pick and pack customer orders per requirement
· Book in stock and product bought for specific customer orders
· Complete daily customer deliveries and material/supplies pick-ups as required
· Take responsibility for upkeep of delivery van including maintenance
· Dispatch orders for delivery
· Complete stock taking as needed and assist in stock control initiatives
· Participate in First Aid, Fire warden, safety walk or safety inspections/checks duties
· Use forklift for loading/unloading of materials/products
· Complete facilities maintenance and repair work
Any other reasonable duties as instructed by Supervisors or Managers
Skills
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic Health and Safety requirements
- Previous Driving/Delivery work experience is desired
- Driving Licence
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
