Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our Restaurant Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation and production meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong leadership abilities, a commitment to food safety, and a collaborative spirit to foster a positive kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Oversee daily operations, including inventory management and stock control.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes that enhance our menu offerings.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order.
- Manage food production schedules to meet service demands while minimising waste.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Experience within an Italian and/or pizza kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes using fresh produce.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
