We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative (part-time) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality cleaning services in a professional manner. Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is ideal for those who take pride in their work and enjoy creating a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties across designated commercial sites, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas, including restrooms, kitchens, offices, and communal spaces
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet roll as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Follow company procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times during working hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Flexibility to work part-time hours as scheduled
