Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and professional Vetting & Screening Officer (BS7858) to join our recruitment and vetting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough background checks and vetting procedures in accordance with BS7858 standards, ensuring the integrity and security of our organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end employee screening and vetting in accordance with BS7858 standards.
- Verify applicants' identity, employment history, right to work, references, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate vetting records and employee compliance files.
- Monitor SIA licence validity, training records, renewals, and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Support recruitment administration, onboarding, and pre-employment checks.
- Liaise with candidates, clients, previous employers, and external agencies to obtain required documentation.
- Ensure all vetting processes comply with company policies, industry standards, GDPR, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare compliance reports and maintain databases using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
- Provide general administrative support including document control, filing, correspondence, and record management.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
- Support operational teams with compliance-related queries and continuous process improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in vetting and screening BS7858.
- Good understanding of BS7858 screening requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
