About Us
WeConstructUK Ltd is a fast-growing contractor specialising in social housing refurbishment, planned maintenance and capital works across the Midlands.
Working with local authorities and Tier 1 contractors, we deliver kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes, wet rooms, electrical works, void refurbishments and planned maintenance projects.
Following the award of new contracts and continued business growth, we are expanding our commercial team and are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to support both our current workload and future growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the directors, you'll take ownership of a wide range of commercial activities across multiple projects, supporting both pre-contract and post-contract functions.
You'll be responsible for pricing works, managing costs, producing commercial reports and working closely with our operational teams to maximise project performance. As the company continues to grow, there will be genuine opportunities to progress into a senior commercial leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing tenders and negotiated works
- Preparing estimates and cost plans
- Producing monthly CVRs and commercial reports
- Managing applications for payment
- Valuing and agreeing variations
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Procuring subcontractors and suppliers
- Cost forecasting and margin analysis
- Supporting operational teams with commercial advice
- Developing commercial systems and reporting procedures
- Working closely with the directors to support business growth
About You
- Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor
- Experience within social housing, refurbishment or planned maintenance is preferred
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience producing CVRs, valuations and commercial reports
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop within a growing business

- Diploma of Higher Education (required)
