Mega Kids World is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking part-time team member to join our friendly team.
This is a 15-hour per week role, primarily working weekdays, with additional hours and overtime available. There will also be an occasional requirement to work weekends, school holidays and half terms, particularly during our busier periods.
The role will involve working across our busy children's soft play centre and café, with a particular focus on providing a welcoming, safe and enjoyable experience for toddlers, young children and their families.
This is a varied, hands-on position. Team members are expected to work across different areas of the business as required, including the soft play area, café, reception, party rooms and general venue maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and engaging with children within the soft play facility
- Providing a safe, clean and welcoming environment for toddlers, children and families
- Delivering excellent customer service to children, parents and carers
- Working within the café, including preparing and serving food and drinks
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the venue
- Assisting with birthday parties, toddler sessions and special events
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Following food hygiene, allergen awareness and company procedures
- Helping to ensure the centre is presented to a consistently high standard
- Working as part of a team while also using initiative when required
Requirements
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Strong availability during weekdays
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends, school holidays and half terms
- Willing to undergo a DBS check, with employment subject to satisfactory checks
- Willing to complete Allergy Awareness training as part of the role
- Friendly, confident and professional
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable working in a busy family environment
- Enjoys working with toddlers, children and families
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Prepared for a physically active role involving standing for extended periods, cleaning, lifting and moving equipment
- Positive attitude and willingness to get involved in all areas of the centre
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, childcare, leisure or working with children would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working with children or toddlers
- Customer service or hospitality experience
- Food Hygiene certification
- First Aid qualification
- Previous Health & Safety training or certification
- Allergy Awareness training
