Children’s Registered Manager
Are you an experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in your career and become a Registered Manager?
We are looking for an ambitious, passionate and committed Children’s Registered Manager to lead a brand-new residential service supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established service and play a key role in building the home, developing the team and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
You will:
- Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated care team.
- Ensure children and young people receive outstanding, person-centred care.
- Maintain strong safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Work closely with families, social workers, education professionals and other agencies.
- Manage staff recruitment, supervision, training and development.
- Ensure the home meets and maintains high Ofsted standards.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and care plans.
- Support the service through its development as a new EBD and LD provision.
- Create a positive culture focused on outcomes, safety and the wellbeing of the children.
About You
We would particularly welcome applications from an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Childcare professional who is now ready to step up into a Registered Manager position.
You will need:
- Previous experience working within a children’s residential care setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Ofsted requirements.
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and/or LD.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
- The ability to lead a team confidently and build positive professional relationships.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
- The drive, resilience and commitment required to successfully lead a new service.
