Duties
- Prepare fresh dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients with attention to quality and consistency
- Skillfully assemble pizzas according to recipes and customer specifications, ensuring visual appeal and flavor balance
- Operate pizza ovens efficiently to achieve perfect crusts and optimal cooking results
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed, supporting overall kitchen functions
- Serve pizzas promptly to maintain quality and customer satisfaction during busy service hours
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking minimum 1 year, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and food safety standards is essential
- Prior experience working as a pizza chef or in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, including dough handling, baking, and topping assembly
- Excellent skills in food presentation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness during service hours
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
