Maintenance Engineer
Location: Rotherham
Salary: From £31,230 up to £39,037.50 per annum (dependent on skills, experience and position)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Continental Shift Pattern:
- 4 days on, 4 days off
- 2 x 12-hour day shifts
- 2 x 12-hour night shifts

The Role
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Perform preventative maintenance on all necessary machinery and facility areas as instructed
- Ensure all planned preventative maintenance for the site takes place in a timely manner
- Respond to reactive breakdowns
- Report any repairs needed to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and co-workers continuously to maintain efficient operations
- Complete all paperwork accurately as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Perform all work using safety equipment as instructed while obeying all safety rules and procedures
- Report any inefficient or unsafe conditions to management upon discovery of the condition
- Communicate effectively at all levels to ensure maximum productivity of your team.
The successful candidate must have:
- 2-5 years experience in an industrial maintenance or automotive mechanic role
- Mechanically and electrically biased experience and relevant qualifications
- Experience reading comprehending and utilising blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on various equipment
- Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces
- Knowledge and understanding in the use of conveyors, PLCs, welding processes and equipment, drill press, packaging machinery, trailers, scales, grinders, hand and power tools, impact guns, bench grinders and band saws
- Positive attitude and ability to problem solve and multi task
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Mechanically inclined with great analytical and problem solving skills
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
