At JW Grant, our drivers are a vital part of our success. With five thriving branches and a reputation for outstanding service, we are seeking a professional, customer-focused HGV Driver to join our team. You would be based in Coatbridge ML5.
This includes:
- £15.52 per hour base rate. Overtime paid at £23.28
- Saturday rota (1 in 2, 8 am–12 pm) paid at overtime rate
Overtime is structured as part of the working week. Drivers are expected to arrive early to complete vehicle checks and prepare for departure before customer gates open.
Responsibilities
- Deliver building materials safely and efficiently across Lanarkshire and the surrounding areas
- Load and unload vehicles safely (HIAB/Crane, where applicable)
- Check all loads thoroughly before departure to ensure accuracy
- Maintain tight delivery schedules
- Complete daily vehicle checks and comply with all transport regulations
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety procedures
- Represent JW Grant professionally on customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 HGV licence (minimum)
