Since founding in January 2025, PGS Educators has worked with 13 primary, secondary and specialist educational settings, including schools within the Charter Schools Educational Trust, Dunraven Educational Trust and Lift Schools, as well as Sacred Heart School and Lilian Baylis Technology School. About the Role
As a Schools Programme Lead, you will play a central role in planning, leading and delivering high-quality intervention programmes across primary, secondary and specialist educational settings.
Beyond programme delivery, you'll contribute to the continued growth of PGS Educators by building strong relationships with schools, supporting colleagues, identifying new opportunities and representing the organisation professionally across the education sector.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of intervention programmes across primary, secondary and specialist provisions.
- Ensure all programmes are delivered to the highest professional standards and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate programme logistics, staffing, timetabling and school communications.
- Monitor programme quality, attendance, learner engagement and impact.
- Produce reports and recommendations that support continuous programme improvement.
Programme Facilitation
- Deliver engaging mentoring programmes, workshops and educational interventions.
- Adapt delivery to meet the needs of different schools, cohorts and learners.
- Model excellent facilitation practice and maintain consistently high standards of delivery.
- Foster positive learning environments that support pupil engagement and personal development.
Leadership & Staff Development
- Provide guidance, mentoring and support to Programme Facilitators.
- Contribute to staff training, professional development and the sharing of best practice.
- Promote a positive, collaborative and accountable organisational culture.
- Support the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of delivery staff where required.
School Partnerships & Outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, trusts and partner organisations.
- Represent PGS Educators at meetings, networking events, conferences and community engagement activities.
- Contribute to outreach activities that strengthen existing partnerships and establish new relationships.
- Identify opportunities to expand programme delivery across new schools and organisations.
Organisational Growth & Development
- Work collaboratively with the CEO to support the strategic growth of PGS Educators.
- Contribute to fundraising initiatives, grant applications and partnership development where appropriate.
- Support the development of new programmes, services and organisational initiatives.
- Share innovative ideas that strengthen the organisation's impact and long-term sustainability.
Safeguarding, Compliance & Professional Standards
- Promote and uphold a strong safeguarding culture across all programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, organisational policies and statutory guidance.
- Maintain accurate programme records and contribute to organisational reporting.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism when representing PGS Educators.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience delivering educational, mentoring or youth development programmes.
- Experience working within primary, secondary and/or specialist educational settings.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and programme management abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with school leaders and external partners.
- A proactive, solution-focused and collaborative approach to work.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and improving outcomes for young people.
- Willingness to travel and represent PGS Educators at networking and professional events.
Desirable
- Experience leading or managing programme delivery.
- Experience supporting staff development or facilitating professional learning.
- Experience contributing to outreach, partnership development or organisational growth.
- Knowledge of alternative provision, mentoring or targeted educational interventions.
- Experience supporting funding applications, grant-funded projects or partnership initiatives.
What We Offer
- Flexible freelance working (2–3 days per week).
- £80–£130 per delivered session (60–90 minutes), depending on experience, programme requirements and contractual arrangements.
- Our evidence-informed targeted intervention programmes place creative expression at the forefront of delivery and typically run over 10–12 weeks, providing consistent opportunities to deliver meaningful, high-impact interventions across our partner schools.
- Payment for all programme leadership, facilitation and practitioner responsibilities.
