The Winyard's Gap Inn is a charming country pub on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Chedington, close to Beaminster boasting one of the finest views in the West Country.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and confident individual to join our bar team. If you have previous bar experience and a passion for providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a member of our bar team, you'll play an important part in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests while delivering exceptional service in a busy and enjoyable environment.
This role offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay. Evening and weekend shifts will be required. The position could suit someone looking for seasonal work over the summer or someone seeking a longer-term opportunity as part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and create a friendly atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Engage with customers in a personable and attentive manner, building relationships with regulars and first-time visitors alike.
- Take drink orders accurately and efficiently, offering recommendations where appropriate.
- Handle payments professionally and accurately, including cash handling and card transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar area to ensure smooth service.
- Work closely with colleagues to create a positive and supportive team environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a bar or hospitality environment is essential.
- A friendly and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for customer service.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of beverages and basic bartending techniques.
- Reliable, responsible and punctual, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
