The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sessional Health, Social Care & Science Tutor to deliver engaging, practical sessions across these subject areas. This role is ideal for someone who can bring industry insight, creativity and passion to lessons, helping learners develop valuable vocational, enterprise and life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inspiring and accessible lessons in Health & Social Care and Business to small groups of students.
- Plan and differentiate learning to meet individual needs and varying abilities.
- Introduce students to key concepts such as person-centred care, safeguarding awareness, communication skills, business planning, marketing, enterprise and workplace expectations.
- Provide practical activities, case studies and real-world scenarios to support understanding.
- Maintain accurate records of planning, assessment and student progress.
- Create a safe, engaging and nurturing classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to support student wellbeing and personal development.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in Health & Social Care, Science, or both fields.
- Teaching, tutoring or training experience (formal or informal), or a willingness to develop these skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- A patient, flexible and compassionate approach to supporting young people.
- An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- A commitment to helping students build confidence, independence and employability skills.
