HGV Class 2 Driver (Relief Driver)
£17.90 per hour

The Role
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Household Waste & Recycling team. You will be driving an RCV wagon and collecting green waste from Hereford, accompanied by a loader. This is a physically active role that requires excellent driving skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to health and safety.
Typical routes will involve drivers responsible for loading and unloading cages at each location while providing a professional level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle.
- Collecting household waste and recycling
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Provide excellent customer service at customer sites.
- Adhere to all driver regulations, health and safety procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of road safety regulations.
- Physically fit, as the role involves loading and moving waste and recycling containers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements.
