Lead a New Children's Home in Manchester
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a new 3-bed Children's Residential Home in Moston, Manchester, supporting 2 young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Offering an attractive salary of £50,000–£70,000 per annum, this is a strong opportunity for an experienced children's residential professional who wants the chance to shape a new service from the outset, develop a high-quality staff team and establish a positive, child-centred culture.
What we're looking for
- Management experience within an Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Level 5 Leadership & Management, or currently working towards it
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations
- Proven leadership and staff-management experience
- Ability to develop and maintain a safe, stable and high-quality residential service
Experienced Deputy Managers who are ready to progress into a Registered Manager position may also be considered.
Your role
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership and effective day-to-day management of the home.
You will:
- Lead and develop the residential staff team
- Maintain excellent safeguarding standards
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments and quality assurance
- Establish a positive culture within the new home
- Build effective relationships with Local Authorities, families and external professionals
- Monitor service performance and drive continuous improvement
- Promote stability and positive outcomes for young people with EBD
