NML Solutions specialise in the install of Hiab loader cranes to commercial lorry bodies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join our team on a Full Time Permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services essential to our operations.
The Role:
· Manage flow of supplies to production to allow smooth running of daily production plan
· Working with Engineers to identify specialised, non-stock items required for build process and sourcing/purchasing these
· Responsible for receipt of goods in, ensuring all deliveries are checked and signed for and relevant paperwork is processed
· Ensure any anomalies are investigated and resolved
· Responsible for stock accuracy, carrying out stock counts, ensuring store is always kept organised and tidy
· Process and manage purchase orders
· Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and materials, following up on overdue orders with suppliers
· Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed and report any issues to Supervisor
The Person:
· Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
· Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement best practice
· Experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages and computerised systems – Outlook, Word and Excel, Sage (training provided)
· Good communication skills, capable of liaising effectively across departments and with external vendors
· Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload
· Forklift experience would be considered preferable
· A HGV licence would also be useful but is not essential
