We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and customer-focused Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join our team covering the Horsham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and delivering high-quality maintenance services that support healthcare environments and patient care.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician (Electrical), you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving NHS properties across your designated area. You'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, repairs, fault finding, and minor installation works to ensure our buildings remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Working as part of a dedicated operational team, you'll support the delivery of high-quality estates services across the Horsham area, including Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, with participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota covering a wider region.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs.

Undertake fault finding, diagnosis, and remedial works on a variety of electrical systems.

Support minor installation works and electrical upgrades where required.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory regulations, health and safety legislation, and company procedures.

Accurately complete job records and maintenance documentation.

Provide a professional and customer-focused service to internal and external stakeholders.

Identify and escalate risks, compliance concerns, or maintenance issues where necessary.

Participate in the on-call rota, currently operating at approximately 1 in 11.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and share best practice across the wider team.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver safe, compliant, and effective healthcare environments.

Can handle routine tasks and social interactions within a work environment. Ability to absorb policy and guidance necessary for the role.
What You'll Bring

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance.
- Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and remedial works.
- Good understanding of electrical regulations and safe systems of work.

Experience working within commercial, public sector, healthcare, or similar property environments.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Full UK driving licence.
Where You'll Be
This is a mobile role with a contractual base of Horsham, covering the wider Horsham, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill areas. The on-call area extends to Bognor. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with participation in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
