We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our busy restaurant team in Norwich.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the creativity, leadership and organisation skills to take full ownership of the kitchen operation.
As Head Chef, you will lead a talented kitchen team, maintain exceptional food standards, develop menus and ensure every dish leaving the kitchen reflects the quality and reputation of our restaurant.
The Role:
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team
- Create and deliver exciting seasonal menus
- Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and consistency
- Manage kitchen costs, stock control and ordering
- Ensure all health & safety and food hygiene standards are maintained
- Deliver outstanding service during busy restaurant periods
- Train and mentor chefs to reach their full potential
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
- Proven experience managing a busy restaurant kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passionate about fresh, high-quality food
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Able to work calmly under pressure
- Knowledge of kitchen costs, GP control and HACCP standards
