About the Role
Connective Careers Pathways are recruiting on behalf of a children's residential care provider seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed children's home supporting young people with social and emotional needs. The home is registered for up to four children and requires an established manager with a strong understanding of compliance, safeguarding, service improvement and team leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Registered Manager to take ownership of a service, embed high standards of care and drive positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold Ofsted registration and ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team.
- Develop a positive, child-centred culture focused on safeguarding and therapeutic care.
- Oversee all aspects of care planning, risk management and quality assurance.
- Ensure children's voices are heard and reflected in care planning and decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and external professionals.
- Monitor home performance and implement improvement plans where required.
- Lead recruitment, supervision and development of staff.
- Manage budgets, occupancy and operational performance.
RequirementsEssential
✔ Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a Children's Residential Home
✔ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
✔ Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding processes
✔ Experience managing Ofsted inspections
✔ Proven ability to improve services and drive positive change
✔ Excellent leadership and people management skills
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
✔ Experience working within EBD services
✔ Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
✔ Strong stakeholder management skills
