Hire Sales Controller
Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Lifting Gear UK Group Limited specialises in the supply of equipment for various different applications relating to Lifting & Handling. Our service that we offer includes the hire, sale, repair, inspection, testing and design & fabrication of most types of lifting related equipment on a regional, national & international level.
Lifting Gear UK Group are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist our Leyland branch with the day to day running of a hire and sales desk whilst providing a first class customer service. This is an excellent position within the company as there are definite opportunities for progression and promotion, your responsibilities will also include:
- Managing incoming and outgoing hires per day across a wide range of plant and tool equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with a commercial edge and a drive to increase sales
- Strong communication and organisational skills with great attention to detail
- A team player who can also work independently and use their initiative
- Experience in the Lifting equipment hire industry would be ideal
- Processing hire desk administration and handling customer and supplier queries with speed and accuracy
- Ensuring stock levels meet demand and identifying opportunities to maximise sales
- Coordinating with drivers and fitters to ensure timely deliveries and collections
- Resolving customer complaints and supplier issues with professionalism and efficiency
- Ideally proven experience in a high-volume hire desk or similar fast-paced environment
Skills & Qualifications:
- A* - C GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
- IT literate – confident in using various systems
- Good transport knowledge within the area would be beneficial but not essential
- Organisation
- Drive and intelligence
- Communication skills
- Quick to learn
- Interest in the products
It would be beneficial to have knowledge of lifting equipment or have related industry experience, it is not essential. In addition, someone who has worked in a business to business office environment and is capable of talking to customers and suppliers would be most suitable. A person from an engineering or construction based background would be advantageous.
