About the Role
We are seeking dedicated, caring, and dependable Support Workers to join a small team caring for a bright 8-year-old girl based in Ponteland.
This is a comprehensive, full-day role providing 1:1 support across all aspects of her day. You will play a key part in helping her navigate her daily routines—from waking up and getting ready in the morning, through her school day, and into her evening activities at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Morning Routine: Assist with waking, personal care, breakfast, and preparing for the school day.
- School Support: Provide 1:1 transport to and from her SEN school, as well as hands-on support alongside school staff throughout her school day.
- After-School & Evening Care: Support with after-school activities, community outings, dinner, and her evening/bedtime routine.
- Continuity of Care: Provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that fosters her growth, comfort, and engagement.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experienced in SEN/Childcare: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs in a school or home environment is highly desirable.
- Reliable Driver: Full UK driving licence to provide transport to and from school and community activities.
- Engaging & Patient: Warm, interactive, and adaptable to her daily needs and pace.
- Professional & Team-Oriented: Able to collaborate effectively with family members and SEN school staff.
What We Offer
- Competitive Pay: £18.00 per hour
- Consistent Hours: Full-day shifts (07:00 – 19:00, Monday to Friday)
