Accounts Manager | Harrogate | £DOE
Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a highly regarded and expanding firm of chartered accountants who are looking to recruit an Accounts Manager to join their growing team in Harrogate.
The Role
You will manage a portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses and SMEs, with responsibilities including:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements, management accounts and personal tax returns
- Reviewing and submitting VAT returns
- Attending client meetings and providing accounting and business advice
- Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members
- Reviewing work and allocating assignments
- Supporting forecasting, business projections and wider advisory assignments
About You
- ACA / ACCA Qualified – Finalists will also be considered
- Previous experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice
- Strong accounts and tax knowledge, with experience reviewing work
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Confident providing advice to owner-managed businesses and SMEs
- Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing practice
