Job title: Accounts Assistant Apprentice – Level 2 / Level 3

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join a growing Finance team, where you will gain hands-on experience while working towards your AAT qualification. Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm - Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Pay: £8.00 per hour / £16,432 per year
Location: HR6 Herefordshire
Level 2 or Level 3 AAT apprenticeship, depending on the successful candidate’s starting point

Key responsibilities:
- Posting simple invoices to the purchase ledger using Sage accounting software
- Reconciling simple supplier statements
- Maintaining accurate pricing information on Sage accounting software
- Assisting the accounts department with general filing
- Supporting the Finance team with general administration
- Completing ad hoc administration duties as required
- Supporting the wider Accounts team with day-to-day finance tasks
- Developing your accounting knowledge and skills while working towards your AAT qualification
Requirements:
- English and Maths Grade 4/C or above
- Maths Grade 6/B or above would be advantageous
- Genuine interest in building a career within the finance and accounts sector
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive, enthusiastic, and reliable attitude
- Someone who presents themselves well in a professional setting
- Confident and capable manner
- Someone who enjoys being part of a team and contributes positively to the workplace culture
- Eager to learn, develop, and progress
- Driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous, or actively working towards this
