Design Locker is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Quality Controller to join our growing production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality across all stages of production, ensuring products meet customer specifications and company expectations before they are packed and dispatched.
This is a hands on role within a fast-paced production environment, working closely with production, packing, and management teams to help minimise errors, maintain consistency, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality inspections throughout all stages of the production process.
- Conduct final inspections on completed orders before dispatch.
- Check products against customer specifications, artwork, and order requirements.
- Identify defects, faults, and inconsistencies, ensuring they are rectified before dispatch.
- Monitor production quality and highlight any recurring issues.
- Work closely with production teams to improve quality standards and reduce errors.
- Ensure printed, embroidered, and finished products meet company quality requirements.
- Complete and maintain quality control records and reports.
- Support investigations into quality issues and customer complaints.
- Assist with implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Help reduce waste, rework, and production errors through proactive quality checks.
- Ensure all work areas remain organised and compliant with company procedures.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy while working to production deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Skills & Experience Essential
- Previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Production role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify defects and quality issues quickly and accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- High standards of accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work within a fast paced production environment.
Desirable
- Experience within garment decoration, print, embroidery, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and inspection processes.
- Experience working with customer specifications and production orders.
- Understanding of continuous improvement practices.
