We're looking for an experienced, proactive and resilient Resourcing Officer to join our Temporary Staffing Service (TSS) at a time of change and opportunity.
Temporary staffing is rapidly evolving across the NHS, with increasing focus on agency reduction, collaborative staff banks, workforce optimisation and forthcoming Employment Rights Act changes. We're therefore looking for someone who not only understands temporary staffing but is excited by the challenge of helping us navigate what comes next.
About the Role
As a key member of the TSS team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the Trust has access to a safe, compliant and effective temporary workforce. You'll oversee the day-to-day management of bank worker processes, champion compliance standards and provide expert advice on temporary staffing policies and procedures.
You'll be responsible for:
Managing end-to-end bank worker onboarding and compliance processes
Working with services to maximise bank fill rates and reduce reliance on agency workers
Supporting implementation of temporary staffing initiatives, new processes and service improvements
Supervising colleagues within the team, providing day-to-day support and quality assurance
Helping ensure TSS continues to deliver an outstanding service during a period of significant workforce and legislative change
You'll regularly use systems such as BankStaff, HealthRoster, ESR and TRAC , alongside Microsoft Office applications and workforce reporting tools.
Who We're Looking For
Has experience working within NHS temporary staffing
Understands (or can quickly develop expertise in) temporary staffing legislation, NHS staffing frameworks and agency management processes
Has experience supervising, supporting or coordinating colleagues
Is highly organised, solutions-focused and able to use their initiative
Enjoys problem solving and finding practical ways to improve services
Delivers excellent customer service while maintaining professional boundaries and standards
