The Role
STRONG Kingston opens in Charter Quay in October 2026 — bringing the world's only cardio-integrated reformer format to one of London's most vibrant riverside communities.
This is a role in two phases. Before we open, you are a builder — driving the founding member pre-sale campaign, securing corporate wellness partnerships with local businesses and establishing STRONG as the name in Kingston fitness before a single class is taught.
Once open, you are the operator and instructor — leading a high-performing studio team, running the numbers, and teaching several classes a week across STRONG's range of formats. You'll own studio performance — membership, utilisation and revenue — with direct support from the founding team. We'll fund your STRONG Academy certification as part of your onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Membership, Sales & Community
· Be the face of STRONG Kingston, welcoming clients by name, ensuring member profiles are up-to-date, and showing enthusiastic and supportive attitude towards all customers
· Lead the founding member pre-sale campaign — generating, nurturing and converting leads
· Build corporate wellness partnerships with businesses and residential buildings in the Kingston area
· Establish relationships with local community organisations, concierge teams and neighbourhood partners
· Own ongoing membership acquisition — converting walk-ins, enquiries and corporate leads into members
· Drive retention through genuine member relationships, proactive follow-up and a personal experience for every STRONG Human
· Track membership numbers, class utilisation and revenue against targets
Studio & Operations
· Take pride in and ownership of every detail of the studio environment — equipment setup, lighting, presentation and atmosphere — so every member's experience matches the STRONG standard
· Manage day-to-day operations — client enquiries, scheduling, staff rostering, social media and newsletters
· Manage studio systems via studio management software (Hapana) — check-ins, memberships, payments and reporting
· Lead, motivate and develop the instructor team — scheduling, communication and day-to-day support
· Recruit, onboard and manage front-of-house staff
Teaching
· Deliver several STRONG classes per week to a high standard once STRONG Academy certified
· Provide confident cueing and form correction throughout every session
What We're Looking For
· Proven experience in a client-facing, sales or fitness leadership role
· Strong commercial instincts — you know how to convert a conversation into a commitment
· Confident approaching and building relationships with businesses and organisations — corporate outreach experience is a plus
· Excellent communicator, highly organised, with genuine warmth with people
· A background in fitness or movement — Pilates, reformer, personal training or group fitness
· Level 3 Personal Training qualification or equivalent preferred
· Current First Aid certification
· Self-motivated and comfortable with real accountability
· Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings and weekends
What We Offer
· £36,000–£40,000 base salary dependent on experience, with performance bonus tied to membership targets
· Salary review at month 6 against pre-sale and opening targets
· STRONG Academy instructor certification fully funded
· Free STRONG membership from day one
· Ongoing mentoring and support from the founding directors
· Opportunity to grow within the STRONG UK network as it expands
· The chance to open and shape a brand new studio from scratch in one of London's most active neighbourhoods
