We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join our team, focusing on traditional pub cuisine. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about classic British dishes and keen to work in a busy, friendly pub environment.
As Chef, you will support the other Chef in running the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and service.
Responsibilities
- Support the other Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Prepare and cook high-quality traditional pub dishes
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff during service
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management
- Step up to lead the kitchen when required
- Help train and develop junior team members
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef or strong Chef de Partie
- Good knowledge of traditional British/pub food
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Passion for hospitality and quality food
