Overview
Abacus Employment are seeking energetic and reliable HGV 2 Skip Drivers on a TTP basis on behalf of our Client based in the Guildford area. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a flatbed HGV 2 vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver and collect skips at designated sites, ensuring timely and accurate service
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety standards
- Manage loading and unloading of skips with care, ensuring proper securing during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle documentation, and compliance records
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Requirements
- Valid HGV 2 license a with a valid CPC and Tacho.
- Must have at least 1 year experience delivering skips.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of flatbed vehicle operation and load securing techniques
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading skips
- Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and maintenance
Hours
- Various shift times starting from 06.00am
- Monday to Friday
