Market Stall Assistant – Small Bakery Business
Various local markets across Bristol, Bath & surrounding areas. Part-time, weekends only (with early starts)£15 per hour + mileage paid. Discounted/free food
Hi. I'm Dolph and I run Sunshine Graze. We’re a small, independent Jamaican patty and cake bakery looking for a friendly, reliable person with their own car to help run our market stalls at local weekend events throughout the year. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys meeting people, working independently, and doesn’t mind early mornings. You’ll have at least one market a month guaranteed, with the opportunity to take on extra dates for festivals, events, and pop-ups — all within the local area.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Transporting and setting up the market stall (includes gazebo and stock)
- Selling our baked goods and engaging warmly with customers
- Handling card and cash payments
- Keeping the stall clean, tidy, and well-stocked
- Packing down and locking up at the end of the day
What You’ll Need:
- Your own car (to transport goods and kit)
- A driving licence, insurance, and tax.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a can-do attitude
- Confidence working solo and handling money
- Good people skills and a warm, helpful manner
- Physically able to carry and lift stall equipment
- Willing to complete a Food Hygiene Certificate (we’ll cover the cost)
- Bonus points if you’ve got experience in markets or food sales (not essential)
- An interest in or knowledge of Jamaican food is a lovely extra.
