Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting foundations to ensure optimal paving results
- Use hand tools such as trowels, shovels, and levels to lay blocks accurately according to project specifications
- Operate power tools including compactors and saws safely to cut and shape paving materials
- Install block paving with attention to detail, ensuring proper alignment, jointing, and finishing for durability and aesthetic appeal
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to meet high standards of craftsmanship
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, levels, and shovels for precise work
- 5 years + experience preferred
- Experience with bricklaying techniques specific to paving applications
- Knowledge of masonry principles to ensure stable and long-lasting installations
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently in a construction environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices relevant to outdoor construction projects
Required
- Must have own van
- Will need to be CIS registered
- Travel or reimbursement of costs will be provided if working on jobs our of area.
Pay: £170.00-£190.00 per day
