We are currently seeking experienced Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our team in Nottingham, working within EBD and LD residential homes.
This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced staff who are passionate about supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in residential settings
- Support individuals with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
- Manage challenging behaviour in line with care plans and training
- Build strong, positive relationships with young people
- Support with education, activities, and daily routines
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
- Work as part of a dedicated residential care team
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a children’s residential home
- Experience working with EBD and LD
- Must hold in-date CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or PMVA training
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexibly including days, nights, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
