Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, operating forklift equipment safely, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure smooth logistics flow. Your proactive approach will help maintain a well-organized warehouse environment while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
1 Warehouse Organisation — Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment, including daily checks and housekeeping.
2 Cooler Sanitisation/Maintennce — Carry out scheduled sanitisation of water coolers, ensuring hygiene standards are met before dispatch. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation
3 Stock Management — Assist with stock counts, report discrepancies, and ensure accurate stock rotation. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organization within the warehouse.
4 Forklift Operation — Safely move pallets of bottled water, load/unload vehicles, and organise warehouse stock.
5 Goods In & Out — Receive incoming stock, check deliveries, rotate bottled water, and prepare outgoing orders.
6 Equipment Care — Conduct basic maintenance checks on forklifts, vans, and sanitisation equipment.
7 Health & Safety Compliance — Follow AquAid safety procedures, use PPE correctly, and report hazards promptly.
8 Van Deliveries — Deliver water coolers and bottled water to customers, complete delivery paperwork, and maintain professional customer interaction ad hoc as and when required.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity of warehouse management systems
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated mechanical knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance
- Strong ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and best practices
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of standing or walking
