Join our friendly team at the Ship In Distress, a welcoming family pub known for its warm atmosphere and delicious food. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated part-time chef to help us continue delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to our menu and recipes.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to create daily specials and new menu items.
- Ensure the kitchen closes promptly at 8:00/8:30 PM, maintaining cleanliness and order.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a chef or cook in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
