We're looking for a motivated, detail-driven Estimator who wants to build a career supporting genuine nature protection and restoration work. You'll join our Bids and Business Development Team, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technical Leads to cost and shape proposals across our full cradle-to-grave service from ecological survey and design through to habitat creation and civil engineering delivery.
This isn't just about crunching numbers it's about helping to win the work that lets us do more good for habitats and the wildlife that depends on them. Every accurate estimate and well-crafted bid is a step toward another wetland restored, another species protected, another stretch of river brought back to life.

Preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and environmental projects

Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and site requirements to build robust, compelling tenders

Drafting and compiling bid documents and written proposals

Sourcing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations

Joining site visits with engineers and specialists to understand projects first-hand

Collaborating with in-house teams to strengthen and refine bid preparation

Supporting bid administration and helping the team hit tender deadlines

Essential:

Full UK driving licence

A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline

Strong numerical and analytical ability

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)

Confident communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail, well-organised, and able to manage workloads to strict deadlines

A proactive, positive approach with a willingness to adapt
Desirable:

Previous experience in civil engineering or construction sectors

Familiarity with estimating and/or project management tools (e.g., Bidwork, Microsoft Project)
