Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Digger Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty excavators and related machinery to assist in digging, trenching, and material handling tasks essential for various construction projects. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with excavators will be vital in ensuring efficient, safe, and precise operations. Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery with precision to perform digging, trenching, lifting, and material placement tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute excavation tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, site safety protocols, and project timelines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with site preparation activities such as clearing debris or setting up work zones when needed.
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, equipment usage, and safety inspections.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating large vehicles on-site.
- Experience with excavator operation is essential; familiarity with different types of heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to operate machinery safely over extended periods.
- Prior experience in construction or excavation projects is preferred but not mandatory.
