The Data Protection and Freedom of Information team sits within UCL’s Office of General Counsel and is responsible for providing advice on a wide range of data protection and freedom of information matters relating to the University.
As a Data Protection and Freedom of Information Administrator, you'll be a member of the University's Data Protection and Freedom of Information team within the Office of General Counsel. In this job, you'll support UCL's transformation against a background of increasing regulatory focus, transparency, competition, globalisation and a rapidly evolving threat horizon, especially in the information security space.
You will play a key role in managing UCL's day to day compliance with the UK GDPR, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), and the Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs). You'll also provide advice on all matters relating to data protection and freedom of information compliance and will assist in providing training and guidance across UCL.

Things you'll need to do this job include:
- Proven track record of successfully managing a large number of requests and enquiries under the FOIA, DPA, EIRs in a similar role, individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical skills and sound judgement.
- Experience of building relationships and successfully collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Experience of producing guidance, tools and resources for staff and members of the general public.
