Housekeeper / Property Cleaner – £15+ per hour equivalent
Location: Wells-next-the-Sea and surrounding areas
Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal, Self Employed.
Main working day: Fridays. Additional days as we continue to grow.
Pay: Paid per property, with rates designed to provide a minimum equivalent of £15 per hour based on standard cleaning times
About the role
We are a growing, family-run local business looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-focused Housekeeper / Property Cleaner to join our small team.
The majority of our work takes place on Fridays, completing high-standard cleans and changeovers in beautiful properties across Wells-next-the-Sea and the surrounding area.
This would suit someone looking for reliable Friday work, with the opportunity for additional hours and days as our business continues to grow.
The Working Day
Our standard changeover window is 10:00am–4:00pm.
This is not a fixed six-hour shift.
You will be allocated one or more properties depending on their size and the work required. Each property has a fixed rate based on its standard cleaning time.
Once your allocated property has been completed thoroughly and to our required standard, your work for the day is finished — you don't need to stay until 4pm simply because that is the changeover deadline.
Our rates are calculated to provide a minimum equivalent of £15 per hour based on standard cleaning times, with the opportunity to achieve a higher hourly rate by working efficiently while maintaining our standards.
Location & Travel
The vast majority of our properties are located within Wells-next-the-Sea, meaning travel between properties is minimal.
Our outer working area currently includes Stiffkey, Wighton and Egmere.
Where you are allocated a property outside Wells, we provide a flat-rate fuel payment on top of the property rate.

- Available consistently on Fridays between 10:00am and 4:00pm
- Able to travel independently between properties
- A full driving licence holder with access to their own vehicle

Previous cleaning or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential. We can provide training and ongoing support — a strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail are what matter most to us.
The role is initially focused on Fridays, but there is potential for additional work and increased days and hours over time for the right person.
