Production Manager – Apparel
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Location: Wishaw, North Lanarkshire

MIYO Brand supplies branded clothing and workwear to businesses and organisations across the UK.
We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Production Manager – Apparel to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our apparel production department.
This is a hands-on management position.
You’ll be responsible for planning production, managing workloads, setting daily targets and ensuring every job is correct before it enters production.
Our customers expect quality products delivered on time, and you’ll be responsible for ensuring the department consistently achieves that.
The Role
You’ll plan the production schedule and ensure work is distributed effectively across the department.
Before jobs enter production, you’ll make sure everything has been properly checked and signed off, including garments, quantities, artwork, branding requirements and deadlines.
You’ll monitor jobs throughout production, identify potential delays and make adjustments to keep work moving.
You’ll also be responsible for maintaining high standards of organisation, cleanliness and efficiency throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules.
- Set clear production targets.
- Allocate work effectively across the production team.
- Ensure jobs are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Check that every job has been correctly signed off before entering production.
- Ensure garments, quantities, artwork and production instructions are correct.
- Monitor production quality.
- Identify potential mistakes before they result in wasted garments, materials or production time.
- Monitor productivity and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage workflow and prioritise urgent jobs where required.
- Work closely with customer service and design departments.
- Ensure completed jobs meet MIYO’s quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are properly maintained.
- Help train and develop production staff.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of production rather than simply supervising it.
You’ll need to be:
- Extremely organised.
- Comfortable managing people.
- Able to plan workloads effectively.
- Focused on productivity and achieving targets.
- Highly attentive to detail.
- Quality focused.
- Comfortable making decisions.
- Able to identify problems before they affect production.
- A strong communicator.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to hold yourself and your team accountable for standards.
Experience within branded clothing, embroidery, garment printing, DTF, screen printing or a similar production environment would be highly advantageous.
What Success Looks Like
A successful production department isn’t simply busy – it’s organised.
Jobs should enter production with the correct information.
The team should know what they’re producing and when it’s required.
Mistakes should be caught before they become costly.
Deadlines should be met.
Finished products should leave the department at the standard our customers expect.
We’re looking for a Production Manager who can create that environment consistently and who takes pride in running an efficient, organised and productive department.
