Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Part-time Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing excellent guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively during busy periods. Previous restaurant experience is preferred. Training will be provided. This position is for Saturdays from 15:00 until 23:00hours suitable for students or those seeking part-time employment. Very possible to increase the numbers of shifts or do overtime if wish specially in busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and try to help with all their enquires
- Know our menu and take pride of it.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with customers during their meal and addressing any needs or concerns
- Handle payments accurately and process transactions in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation or setting up tables as required during quieter periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of food and beverages
- Basic maths skills for processing payments and giving change accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Good organisational skills and time management to handle multiple tables simultaneously
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during peak hours as needed
